Our Mission

For forty years, the Glendale Scotties carried a proud tradition through the halls of Glendale High School and the streets of Springfield, Missouri. From 1963 to 2003, generations of young women put on the kilt, picked up a drum or bugle, and marched as part of something bigger than themselves. The Scotties stood for discipline, sisterhood and pride in our school and community. That legacy didn’t end when the corps stepped off the field for the last time. It lived on in every alumna who still remembers the cadences and the friendships that came with them.

We were among the last Scotties to march. When the corps disbanded, we never got the chance to pass down what we had learned or to watch the next generation of girls take their place in line. More than twenty years later, it still matters to us. That’s why we formed the Glendale Scotties Booster Club: to honor the women who came before us and make sure the Scotties march again. Our goal is to give today’s Glendale students the same tradition, confidence and lifelong bonds that shaped us.
